Hello,

I work for a commercial printer in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA and we are trying to develop a web site where our clients can submit to us spectral color readings from an i1.

Ultimately, our goal is to get the spectral data into a text field in a html form. My question to you, do you have any suggestions/advice on how best to do this? Do you have a list of recommended developers to work with?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you looked at Maxwell from Chromix?

Hi,
that's kind of an open ended question - anything is possible with
software of course, and it's certainly possible to copy data from ArgyllCMS output,
so it's not quite clear what you are looking for.

I have attached a couple of files. The spectrumUtils.h file has some routines that read in
most ASCII spectrum files from spectrometers I have met. This is usually included after
the spectra*.h file (I have attached the 5nm interval one). These files can be donated to
the Argyll project if they are useful.

Thank you for your reply. I hope this helps clarify a bit.

Our end users will be pressmen in pressrooms and they will either have a
530 or i1. They will be taking readings on press sheets and submitting the
spectral data (along with a few other fields) to our MySQL server. From
there, we have a web solution that calculates delta-e and dot gain and
uses this data to grade their press runs.

We have a solution for the 530 using a keyboard wedge utility to get the
spectral readings into a form field on a web page. We just need the same
ability with an i1 and I wasn¹t sure which direction to take. My
programming abilities are limited to mostly just PHP with a little
experience with a few other scripting languages.

Thank you,
