Hi List

A short question:

I need Ideal Calibration file, which will not change anything, but will be applied in profile.
It will be used to limit colours, for example:

C95, M90, Y87 … and the rest not to change.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance

Maybe ink limit will solve your problem?

You can set ink limit in targen, and profile created from that target will
limit max ink usage

I can limit only total ink limit, but I need separately CMYK to limit.
I can’t find this option in targen.

There are no per-channel CMYK limits in targen. In theory you could manually
delete CMYK values over a threshold from the .ti1 file using something like
a spreadsheet.

During profile creation or device link creation you can set a total
ink limit and K channel limit.

If you use a per-channel calibration you can set per channel
maximums for chart printing and profile creation.

Yes exactly what I think about.

So I just ask, can you help me with creation of Ideal calibration file.
That means to create patches with “Cal", but not to measure calibration chart. Just to limit ink per-chanel as I wish, and the rest of colours <95% not to change.

You should be able to use synthcal to do this:

something like

synthcal -d4 -s.95,.90,.87,1.00 filname

might be what you want.
