Hi Guys

Just tried to run
average –v input1.ti3 input2.ti3 output.ti3

(yes corresponding files were renamed to make it easer)

and I got error:

average: Error - CGATS file 'ûv' read error : Unable to open file 'ûv' for
reading

First time it happened usually it worked.
Can any one tell me what did I forget about?

Thats my steps till now

targen -v -d2 -G -g128 -f1932 3880Pro-Photo-Luster
printtarg -v -ii1 -a1.05 -T360 -C -b -m1 -M1 -P -pA4 3880Pro-Photo-Luster
chartread -v -H -L 3880Pro-Photo-Luster (- rename to input1)
chartread -v -H -L 3880Pro-Photo-Luster (- rename to input2)
average –v input1.ti3 input2.ti3 output.ti3

Sorry, I've no idea. You could mail _me_ the .ti3 files, to see if they
have anything to do with the problem.

[What system are you running on ?]

The dash in -v looks like a Unicode character, but oddly, my Windows email
client applied the same 'MSWord' autocorrection... (this mail if from
Gmail)

If you are using something else than '-' (ASCII 0x2D) to mark options,
then yes, the command line parser will assume it's a filename.

Leppie you are the Star ;]

Funny but I have no idea how it could happen,
I keep one .txt file and all my "recipes" are kept there
and what I do is copy and paste and it always worked...

But it did happen - you live and learn
Anyway thank you guys I would probably never spotted it and I was already
planing some dirty job in excel as a workaround

Kind Regards
Tom

Finally I was able to use average again

now profile check with one ti3:
Profile check complete, errors (CIE94): max. = 3.171382, avg. = 0.306713,
RMS =0.368157

with 3x ti3:
Profile check complete, errors (CIE94): max. = 1.490365, avg. = 0.289211,
RMS =0.331561

I also keep all my basic commands in a .txt file but you have to be careful about what software you use to work with. Anything that has enabled spell checking or autocorrect tends to screw things up either while typing. I only use barebones MS Notepad as it doesn’t correct or change anything.
