Hi,

While following the instructions on
http://www.argyllcms.com/doc/Scenarios.html#PP1
I get the following error:
colprof: Error - gamut: vector_isect failed!

I'm trying to create an icc profile for a lexmark optraC710. For reading the test chart I use an x-rite DTP41.

these are the commands I used:
targen -v -d4 -l360 -f375 OptraC710
printtarg -v -i41 -pA4 OptraC710
okular OptraC710.ps
chartread OptraC710
colprof -v -D"OptraC710" -qm -S /usr/share/color/icc/sRGB.icm -cmt -dpp OptraC710

(Different -l values for targen result in the same error, same for different profiles given to colprof. No errors occur when using -b instead of -S)

It looks like the test chart has only color patches of the same saturation, no clue if that is intended.
The printer is set to print with no color correction.

So what is vector_isect and why does it fail?

You could mail _me_ (NOT the argyllcms list) the .ti3 file so I can take a look.

If there is not a 3D distribution of color patches in the measured result,
then it will be impossible to create an ICC profile, and you may well get
the sort of error you got above.

So what is vector_isect and why does it fail?
It's trying to figure out what to do with the neutral axis mapping. It is
attempting to locate the intersection of a vector and the gamut surface. If
the gamut surface doesn't have a volume, this is likely to fail.
